We also looked at how to use ‘flashcards’ for revising and retaining essential information by writing a short question on one side of an index card and the answer on the other. Using colour, pictures and humour helps :).
We made some flashcards on ….. . When you make a flashcard, you’ll optimise your recall if you test yourself on it WITHIN 24 HOURS. Then test yourself on each flashcard again over a couple of weeks on separate occasions. Remember to tick a box if you get a question correct! Doing this will boost your recall on these topics for several months.
You can also make flashcards by finding questions in your exercise/text book, or even from past exam or test papers. However, try to keep the questions short.
